The problem

Intelligo product affords different kinds of background checks - for a person, company, pre-investment, and so on.

Clients have been frustrated with all the types and options provides and complained that the form they need to fill is too long.
Or in other cases missed new features relevant for them.

User research

Each customer has a different need, but most of the time, each user has regular use of the system.
In addition, each customer has different packages to which he subscribes.
Presenting a mapping of the various services makes it possible to understand what path the customer has to go through and what characteristics he should choose.
These insights influence the design in that when the user has fixed patterns of behavior, it is not necessary to present all the options.

Data was collected on users' usage habits, which fields on the form they fill out and which ones they ignore.I found particular interest in the "add links" field, research showed that most users fill out a Linkedin profile.

The solution

According to the research and insights that each customer has a different need and specific subscribes, the flow should fit that and present a few relevant favorites.

In design terms,

  •  Users don't have to see all the functions the system hold if it's no relevant for them.

  • Choosing the favorite settings is an onboarding flow the users should fill only with the need of new preferences.

  • Favorites settings should be immediately presented as one-click switches and be customizable at any time.

Firstly, the user chose if the search will be run on a person or company, this choice will influence the next steps

In cases when active action is needed a button will use as validation and will move the user to the next step.

Each country the user choose has further information and cost,
I added to this page a shopping cart to Billing transparency

To present a great system's abilities with all the countries it's covering, I chose to display a long list where the user can click on the relevant country or type it on the search field.

The system provides additional services to improve coverage or double verification the background check report.
Add-ons increasing the report price, as presented

The sidebar functions as a wizard that presents the upcoming steps, but also displays the choices of the previous steps.

I chose to present the biography section first to save the user time and effort - filling this information should fill the other field automatically.

For future use, the user can select from the previous search properties.
He doesn't need to walk through the whole process again.

In the form section, since Linkedin is a significant source our users provide, efforts have been invested in developing a plugin that extracts information from the Linkedin profile automatically.
Therefore, the design emphasizes the Linkedin profile and/or biography as the first action in the form.
This flow makes the filling process faster and with less effort.
